What do you get when you combine the perfect late summer weather, a tented black-tie wedding on the southern coast of Connecticut, an 80's band and a private boat ride send-off? Jennifer and Spencer's epic Belle Haven Yacht Club celebration! I've said many times that I'm not a fan of designing country club weddings since there isn't much for me to do. Often, country clubs are dark and dated, with gold and red accents, which are not ideal color palettes for most weddings. This is one of the few that I would certainly recommend. Belle Haven sits on a waterfront property in a private neighborhood in Greenwich, Connecticut, overlooking the sound and is surrounded by stunning homes. I'm always thrilled to work alongside their on-point and always smiling staff as well as enjoy their delicious menus. After postponing from 2020, Jen and Spencer celebrated with their closest and dearest in late summer of 2021 on one of the most perfect days of the year. Since they had already been married a year earlier, the ceremony was short and sweet. We followed with cocktails on the water where guests enjoyed light bites and signature cocktails in honor of their pooch (who stayed at home to guard the house). Dinner followed by dancing to all your favorite 1980s songs with a fantastic performance by White Wedding. And finally ending the night with a private boat ride send-off.
