Carla and Cobe, I have nothing but praise for you! Thank you for always offering me lunch or coffee and for being such gracious humans! Throughout the planning process and, more importantly, over the wedding weekend, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The way you collaborated on design details, and the personal touch you added to your wedding day, is exactly what I hope for when I discuss authentic weddings with my clients. The quintessential coastal New England town of Essex, Connecticut, was the idyllic setting for this amazing weekend. There have been countless movies, TV shows, and novels set in this area, and it has been the inspiration for many. The quaint boutiques, inns, restaurants, and antique stores line the streets of this intimate downtown, making it easy to understand why couples want to bring their families and friends here for the weekend. From the bamboo chairs and woven baskets, to the textured organic napkins, to the custom calligraphy and hand painted taper candles, Carla wanted to highlight her favorite elements and textures. Every element chosen for their reception had a calming yet fun energy. Not to mention one of the most stunning wedding gowns we have ever seen! With panoramic views of the water and weather better than I could have wished for, Kristyn Miller Photography captured Carla and Cobe's weekend perfectly, so cozy up with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and enjoy.
