Throughout our seven years planning and designing weddings in Connecticut and New York, we've worked in MANY wedding venues. I mean a lot. While they are all unique in their own way, there are a few that have just stolen our hearts. One of these venues, and our first venue spotlight, is Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York.
When you first approach Westchester, you feel as though you are pulling up to a castle with its white arches and ornate carved columns lining the entryway. Everything about the Westchester screams glamorous. They have two halls perfect for hosting an elegant reception. The first is the Biltmore Room, described by the Westchester themselves as "decorated in peach tones with three beautiful crystal chandeliers, this stunning room has a terrace with a permanent awning opening onto the Terrazzo and Band shell." The carvings along the crown molding and the columns speak volumes to the amount of time and care that went into building this gorgeous venue. The second room, the Westchester Room, can hardly be considered a room at all as it is much more of a sweeping hall surrounded on three sides by spacious terraces that look out onto the immaculate country club grounds. The Westchester also has a beautiful outdoor bandshell terrazo, perfect for an outside ceremony or reception.
One of our absolute fave weddings at this venue was with our awesome couple Mary and Dave in 2013. You'll notice Mary and Dave were ahead of the 2017 Pantone color greenery trend with help from KD & J Botanica! I mean check out those amazing greenery arrangements behind the ceremony as well as the tall greenery table centerpieces...gorggggg! Mary's bridal look was done by the talented Tonya Valentin and Janice Raccio with Naomi's Studio and Salon. And of course Parties with Pizazz and 47 Orchestra kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night! Check out some of the pictures below by Mackler Studios, from this elegant wedding, taken by at Westchester Country Club that was featured in Carats and Cake and Borrowed and Blue!
