We are not the best bloggers on a normal year, however, with being basically out of a job throughout the 2020 Pandemic -- followed by the "wedding boom" of 2021 and 2022 -- we actually have an excuse this time; we have been busier than ever! It's not new news that many couples had to postpone their celebrations. Some only once, and some, twice. This was the story for a handful of my 2020 celebrations and this couple was not an exception to the rule. After initially planning a June 2020 wedding, then having to postpone to a hopeful September date -- Mink and Austin, like so many other couples, ultimately had to postpone to June of 2021. After a year filled with a roller-coaster of emotions, struggles and waiting … lots of waiting … the day finally came, and it was nothing short of amazing! Their day called for rain -- thunder storms actually -- and when you have a tented wedding on a lake, that does not bode well. However, the skies were on our side that day and the rain came and went within ten minutes while all guests were already under the tent starting the celebrations! It was a perfect night under the stars with a cool lake breeze coming through. And how better to end two plus years of waiting than to light up the sky with fireworks, because as I always say -- borderline fire hazard or bust!
