MENSCHING WEDDING DESIGN PROPOSAL
RECEPTION SPACE (FLOOR PLAN WILL GO BELOW)
The Delamar Southport, The Folly Room, Southport, Connecticut
COCKTAIL + Dinner RECEPTION DETAILS
I have proposed a few options for your table details above. From left to right, we have a fun textured, patterned romantic linen - if this is too much, consider using it for your cake table as a focal point to showcase your cake, which will be a small two tiered cream cake with gold leafing like the donuts your pinned on AP. Next is a velvet ice blue linen, followed by two solid linens in blue tones.
To keep with the all white look -- I have proposed three different cream china sets which will go really well with brushed nickel flatware, beveled glassware, and a cream hemstitch napkin. Paper details would include Deckled Edged menu and place cards. And to round off the romance, silver mercury votives and Monet candelabras with floating white candles and one of the cream chairs above. |
FLORALS
Your florals will include Peonies, Ranunculus and Garden Roses in tones of cream and white in either a clear or ivory vessel with a loose, asymmetrical look. We can also add the lavender and blue Delphinium in the middle photo for depth if you'd like.

LIGHTING + DRAPERY
For lighting, there isn't much we can do for that room besides up-lighting. I spoke to my lighting vendor and the ceiling is not high enough for any bistros and their chandelier is quite prominent unfortunately! We can drape three sides of the room which I think will look AMAZING and feel very romantic and calm.
From left, the grey drapery is what I propose to drape the room with. It will be lighter than that photo (more like the one to the far right) however will have the feel and look as the two middle photos. The photo with the pink drapery has a white up-light and the next one has an amber up-light. Up lights always bring warmth and ambiance to a room. |
